* I came across a problem - in
using Comcast Cable TV [Basic Cable] with new Flat Panel HDTV’s.
Comcast
doesn’t publish the list of channels that you can tune directly from
your shiny
new TV. They only publish the channels as they work using their rented
cable
boxes (Set-Top Boxes.) I searched on the Internet and many people seem
to want
the same thing. So I decided to do the
I don’t like to have to surf
around tons of channels trying to find something interesting. I want to
know
what channels I have - and how to punch them into my remote control
directly.
If I want to watch History Channel - I want to go directly to it. If I
want to
watch Discovery Channel - I want to go directly to it. I also want to to know what’s in High Definition (HD) and how
to go
directly to those channels - without having to suffer through the 480i
resolution old-style NTSC channels - if I don’t have to. I did find out
that
some channels just aren’t in HD. I’m surprised they couldn’t do more of
the
other channels (
Anyway I have attached my list.
And also a SHORT LIST that I made for myself. You might want to make
your own
SHORT LIST because you may not like mine.
